 61\nDescription:This two-day program is designed for the healthcare pr
 ofessional using ultrasound to provide enhancement to the obstetrical 
 examination. This course will provide a valuable combination of lectur
 e, demonstration and in-house scan lab experience with live models. Co
 ntent presented will include an introduction to ultrasound physics, in
 strumentation, and pelvic anatomy (both normal and abnormal). Time wil
 l be dedicated to both transabdominal and endovaginal scanning techniq
 ues and basic fetal and amniotic fluid measurements. Provided in our o
 nsite scan lab will be a diverse selection of ultrasound equipment to 
 be used under the guidance of course faculty.\nObjectives At the compl
 etion of the course, the learner will be able to: • Utilize the prin
 ciples of instrumentation to prepare ultrasound equipment for the exam
 ination. • Recognize normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy. • Identif
 y the difference in techniques related to transabdominal and transvagi
 nal pelvic scanning techniques. • Identify basic fetal anatomy and b
 iophysical profile. • Identify basic fetal anomalies and their ultra
 sound appearance. • Apply appropriate measurement techniques in tran
