DESCRIPTION:At the completion of this program, the participant should 
 be able to:\nExplain the basic imaging fundamentals of ultrasound phys
 ics.\nDemonstrate proper transducer manipulation and system optimizati
 on to produce diagnostic images.\nDescribe routine scan protocols for 
 performing transabdominal & endovaginal GYN scanning, and 1st trimeste
 r obstetric applications.\nState the normal and abnormal imaging chara
 cteristics of the ovaries and uterus and differentiate commonly seen p
 athology.\nArticulate the indications and ultrasound findings for susp
 icion of an ectopic pregnancy.\nDescribe normal fetal anatomy and appl
 y appropriate measurement techniques for a biophysical profile to asse
 ss fetal dates and appropriate fetal development during 2nd & 3rd trim
 ester OB U/S examinations.\nDiscuss the more commonly seen fetal abnor
 malities and their corresponding ultrasound imaging characteristics.\n
 Increase the participants’ knowledge to better perform and/or interp
