 es:\nAt the completion of this program, the participant should be able
  to:\n1. Identify sonographic characteristics associated with hepatobi
 liary disease, pancreatic pathology, renal disease and fluid localizat
 ion.\n2. Explain the role of ultrasound for extended applications incl
 uding, but not limited to, pneumothorax, ocular and musculoskeletal pr
 ocedures in the emergency department.\n3. Demonstrate the use of ultra
 sound guidance for vascular access.\n4. Explain imag. techniques & sca
 n planes used in cardiac U/S.\n5. Recognize normal cardiac structures 
 & identify ultrasound findings associated with cardiomyopathy, pericar
 dial effusion, cardiogenic shock, dissection & other hypotensive condi
 tions.\n6. Discuss imaging techniques, normal and abnormal characteris
 tics associated with lower extremity venous examinations.\n7. Explain 
 examination techniques, normal sonographic findings and commonly seen 
 abnormalities associated with testicular ultrasound.\n8. Describe scan
 ning techniques used in foreign body localization.\n9. Increase knowle
 dge and confidence to perform and/or interpret emergency ultrasound ex
 aminations.\n10. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting
 , under supervised conditions until an acceptable level of proficiency
  and appropriate hospital credentialing has been achieved.\n\nCourse T
