 asound physics/instrumentation to differentiate imaging artifacts.\n2.
  Explain the operation of the ultrasound system controls and appropria
 te transducer selection for different applications.\n3. Perform ultras
 ound evaluation of the trauma patient (F.A.S.T. exam).\n4. Perform the
  scan protocols for focused evaluation of the abdomen (including aorta
 ), female pelvis and adult heart.\n5. Identify normal/abnormal image c
 haracteristics of the abdomen (including aorta), female pelvis, first 
 trimester OB, ectopic pregnancy & adult heart.\n6. Describe image orie
 ntation, transducer preparation, scan protocols for performing an endo
 vaginal GYN exam.\n7. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and
 /or interpret emergency ultrasound examinations.\n8. Apply the informa
 tion discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions unti
