 ndamentals of ultrasound physics/instrumentation.\n2. Describe the abd
 ominal cross-sectional anatomy, scan protocols and routine measurement
 s.\n3. Identify normal imaging characteristics of the liver, gallbladd
 er, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and abdominal vasculature.\n4. Discuss i
 maging characteristics of commonly seen pathology associated with the 
 liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen kidneys, retroperitoneum, and vas
 culature.\n5. Describe scanning protocols and normal/abnormal characte
 ristics for the evaluation of the thyroid, testicles, and appendix.\n6
 . Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under supervi
 sed conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieve
 d.\n7. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret e
