The focus of this three day c ourse is to provide participants with the “need to know” informati on to efficiently and effectively complete a general abdominal ultraso und procedure. The course begins with basic ultrasound techniques invo lved in completing an abdominal ultrasound series and general handling of the ultrasound device. The course comprises an introduction to nor mal ultrasound anatomy of the abdominal organs, followed by lecture pr esentations of the common pathologic changes encountered in a diagnost ic procedure.Lecture is followed each day by a faculty supervised hand s on ultrasound scan lab.
