 fundamentals of U/S physics/instrumentation.\n2. Describe the abdomina
 l cross-sectional anatomy, scan protocols and routine measurements.\n3
 . Identify normal imaging characteristics of the liver, gallbladder, p
 ancreas, spleen, kidneys and abdominal vasculature.\n4. Discuss imagin
 g characteristics of commonly seen pathology associated with the liver
 , gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, retroperitoneum, and vascula
 ture.\n5. Describe scanning protocols and normal/abnormal characterist
 ics for the evaluation of the thyroid, testes/scrotum and appendix.\n6
 . Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret abdomi
 nal ultrasound examinations.\n7. Apply the information discussed in a 
 clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level
