 strumentation.\nâ€¢ Describe the abdominal cross-sectional anatomy, sc
 an protocols and routine measurements.\nâ€¢ Identify normal imaging ch
 aracteristics of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and
  abdominal vasculature.\nâ€¢ Discuss imaging characteristics of common
 ly seen pathology associated with the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, sp
 leen, kidneys, retroperitoneum, and vasculature.\nâ€¢ Describe scannin
 g protocols and normal/abnormal characteristics for the evaluation of 
 the thyroid, testes/scrotum and appendix.\nâ€¢ Increase knowledge and 
 confidence to perform and/or interpret abdominal ultrasound examinatio
 ns.\nâ€¢ Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under 
 supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been
