 \n• Identify the anatomy/physiology of the upper & lower extremity v
 enous systems.\n• Discuss Doppler/color physics and be able to (sono
 graphers) apply these principles to optimize system controls or (physi
 cians) utilize this information for recognizing technical errors which
  may result in misdiagnosis.\n• Perform routine scan protocols, and 
 document Doppler waveforms for venous evaluation of the lower extremit
 y including pre and post vein ablation evaluation.\n• Identify norma
 l/abnormal spectral Doppler/color characteristics and waveform charact
 eristics for identifying venous disease.\n• Recognize image characte
 ristics of acute versus chronic DVT.\n• Discuss the use of Ultrasoun
 d-Guidance and its role in the treatment of venous insufficiency.\n•
  Perform evaluation for venous insufficiency to determine suitability 
 for vein therapy treatment and to determine patency of perforators.\nâ
 €¢ State the diagnostic criteria for identifying significant venous in
 sufficiency.\n• Increase the participants’ knowledge to better per
 form and/or interpret lower extremity venous evaluation for vein closu
 re procedures.\n• Apply the information discussed in a clinical sett
 ing, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficienc
