 participants will have access to the webinar up to two weeks after the
  course ends.\n\nCourse Objectives:\n\nAt the completion of the progra
 m the participant should be able to:\n\n1. Identify the anatomy/physio
 logy of the upper and lower extremity venous systems.\n2. Discuss Dopp
 ler/color physics and be able to (sonographers) apply these principles
  to optimize system controls or (physicians) utilize this information 
 for recognizing technical errors which may result in misdiagnosis.\n3.
  Perform routine scan protocols and document Doppler waveforms for ven
 ous evaluations of the lower extremity for DVT and venous insufficienc
 y.\n4. Recognize image characteristics of acute versus chronic DVT.\n5
 . Scan superficial vessels and perforators to rule in venous insuffici
 ency and to determine if the patient is at risk for revascularization 
 of a ligated vein.\n6. Increase the participant's knowledge to better 
 perform and/or interpret lower extremity venous evaluation for vein cl
 osure procedures.\n7. Apply the information discussed in a clinical se
 tting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficie
