ves & Topics\nAt the completion of this program, the participant shoul
d be able to:\n\n1. Identify and analyze the basics of cardiac anatomy
 /physiology.\n2. Perform a routine 2D/M-Mode/Doppler (pulsed-wave, con
tinuous wave and Color Flow imaging) echocardiographic examination and
  appropriate measurements.\n3. Identify normal/abnormal characteristic
s of 2D cardiac anatomy and explain the role of cardiac Doppler and th
 e necessary qualitative/ quantitative measurements.\n4. Discuss the U/
S findings associated with valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, i
schemic heart disease (CAD), pericardial disease, cardiac masses and L
V systolic and diastolic function.\n5. Assess cardiac Doppler/color in
dications, applications, normal/abnormal waveform characteristics, Dop
pler measurements and color characteristics in the adult patient.\n6.
Discuss and apply the guidelines for structuring a dictated Echocardio
graphy report.\n7. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or
interpret echocardiography examinations.\n8. Apply the information di
scussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an ac
cepted level of proficiency has been achieved.\n\nCourse Topics:\n•
