 siology.\n2. Perform a routine 2D/M-Mode/Doppler (pulsed-wave, continu
ous wave and Color Flow imaging) echocardiographic examination and app
ropriate measurements.\n3. Identify normal/abnormal characteristics of
2D cardiac anatomy and explain the role of cardiac Doppler and the ne
cessary qualitative/ quantitative measurements.\n4. Discuss the U/S fi
ndings associated with valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, ische
mic heart disease (CAD), pericardial disease, cardiac masses and LV sy
stolic and diastolic function.\n5. Assess cardiac Doppler/color indica
tions, applications, normal/abnormal waveform characteristics, Doppler
measurements and color characteristics in the adult patient.\n6. Disc
uss and apply the guidelines for structuring a dictated Echocardiograp
hy report.\n7. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or int
erpret echocardiography examinations.\n8. Apply the information discus
sed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accept
ed level of proficiency has been achieved.\n\nCourse Topics:\n\n• Im
