completion of this program, the participant should be able to:\n\n1. I
dentify and analyze the basics of cardiac anatomy/physiology.\n2. Perf
orm a routine 2D/M-Mode/Doppler (pulsed-wave, continuous wave and Colo
r Flow imaging) echocardiographic examination and appropriate measurem
ents.\n3. Identify normal/abnormal characteristics of 2D cardiac anato
my and explain the role of cardiac Doppler and the necessary qualitati
ve/ quantitative measurements.\n4. Discuss the U/S findings associated
with valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, ischemic heart disease
(CAD), pericardial disease, cardiac masses and LV systolic and diasto
lic function.\n5. Assess cardiac Doppler/color indications, applicatio
ns, normal/abnormal waveform characteristics, Doppler measurements and
color characteristics in the adult patient.\n6. Discuss and apply the
guidelines for structuring a dictated Echocardiography report.\n7. In
crease knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret echocardio
graphy examinations.\n8. Apply the information discussed in a clinical
setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of profi
 ciency has been achieved.\n\nCourse Topics:\n• Imaging fundamentals\
