DESCRIPTION:At the completion of this program, the participant should 
 be able to:\nDescribe the basics of cardiac anatomy/physiology.\nDiscu
 ss the physics of cardiac ultrasound & Doppler echocardiography.\nAppl
 y routine scan protocols during a 2D/M-Mode/Doppler (pulsedwave, conti
 nuous wave and color flow Imaging) echocardiographic examination and a
 ppropriate measurements.\nIdentify normal/abnormal characteristics of 
 2D cardiac anatomy and explain the role of cardiac Doppler and the nec
 essary qualitative/quantitative measurements.\nDiscuss the ultrasound 
 findings associated with valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, isc
 hemic heart disease (CAD), pericardial disease and cardiac masses.\nAs
 sess cardiac Doppler/color indications, applications, normal/abnormal 
 waveform characteristics, Doppler measurements and color characteristi
 cs in the adult patient.\nExamine the latest imaging techniques in qua
 ntification of right and left ventricle wall motion.\nIntegrate standa
 rized guidelines for the dictated echocardiography report.\nRecognize 
 the basic principles of contrast echocardiography and its role in LV o
 pacification, Doppler signal enhancement, trauma, evaluation of masses
  and congenital abnormalities.\nIncrease the participant’s knowledge
  to better perform and/or interpretechocardiography examinations.\n\nC
