 r of Breast Ultrasound, Kevin Kelly, MD, (Hall Health Center, Venice, 
 CA), and supporting faculty present standard and emerging breast imagi
 ng techniques for clinicians to provide their patients with both early
  detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. The emphasis will be on the
  macroscopic histology and pathology, correlated with the sonographic 
 appearance of benign and malignant abnormalities (contrasted with patt
 ern recognition techniques). Sessions will be augmented by a three-sta
 ge learning process of (1) conventional didactic format (with PowerPoi
 nt slides and illustrative images); (2) simulated real-time scanning r
 eview (checkpoints) of selected sessions with high-resolution cine pre
 sentations on computer workstations (one for every two attendees); (3)
  extended hands-on workshops, during which attendees will work at thei
 r own pace under mentoring by the faculty. The Course will also incorp
 orate material on supplementary screening breast ultrasound and new de
