 This course is designed for the radiologist in general clinical practi
 ce. It is intended to provide an overview and update on wide variety o
 f clinically relevant topics in diagnostic imaging, as well as an up-t
 o-date assessment of the clinical uses of imaging modalities such as M
 DCT, MRI, PETCT and sonography in the diagnosis of diseases of the che
 st, abdomen, pelvis, central nervous system, musculoskeletal system, a
 nd vascular system. Ample time will be available for informal discussi
 ons with the course faculty and practical uses of imaging techniques w
 ill be stressed.\n\nEARN SAM CREDIT\nIn addition, an opportunity for c
 ompletion of a self-assessment module (SAM) will be offered during Mon
 day’s session. “HRCT of the Infiltrative Lung Disease” (ABR # UC
 SS 02B0408-355) was approved for 1 SAM credit on April 1, 2008 and is 
 qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria f
 or self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in th
 e ABR Maintenance of Certification Program. SAM credits are required f
 or radiologists certified since 2002.\n\nAt the completion of this cou
 rse,the attendee should be able to:\n1. Diagnose large and small airwa
 y disease, common infiltrative lung diseases and pulmonary embolisms u
 sing CT, HRCT;\n2. Identify current applications in interventional rad
 iology for chest, OB/GYN, and hepatobiliary systems;\n3. Accurately pe
 rform drainage interventions;\n4. Demonstrate improved diagnosis of ab
 dominal abnormalities including benign and malignant liver lesion and 
 the acute pediatric abdomen;\n5. Diagnose abnormalities of the hip, an
 kle, foot, bone marrow and cartilage with the use of magnetic resonanc
 e imaging;\n6. Describe the principles and pitfalls of PETCT and SPECT
 ;\n7. Improve radiological interpretation of abnormalities in the cent
 ral nervous system;\n8. Understand the radiologist’s role in stroke 
 prevention, evaluation and treatment.\n\nRegistration\n\nPre-registrat
 ion is encouraged to ensure your space in this course and to have a sy
 llabus and CME certificate available on site.\nPre-register by Novembe
 r 20, 2009 and save $75 on your enrollment fee. Pre-register for Breas
 t Imaging (RAD 10 013) held the previous week in Kona and save an addi
 tional $125 on each course.\n\nTUITION\n$995 for practicing physicians
