 amentals of ultrasound physics/instrumentation and recognize image art
 ifacts.\n2. Explain the operation of the ultrasound system controls an

 form ultrasound evaluation of the trauma patient (FAST exam).\n4. Perf
 orm the scan protocols for focused evaluation of the abdomen (includin
 g aorta), female pelvis and adult heart.\n5. New! Demonstrate the use 
 of ultrasound guidance for vascular access and fluid aspirations.\n6. 
 Identify normal/abnormal image characteristics of the abdomen (includi
 ng aorta), female pelvis, first trimester OB, ectopic pregnancy and ad
 ult heart.\n7. Describe image orientation, transducer preparation, sca
 n protocols for performing an endovaginal GYN exam.\n8. Apply the info
 rmation discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions u
 ntil an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.\n9. Increase 
 knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret examinations.\n\n
