 Identify the anatomy/physiology of the upper and lower extremity venou
 s and arterial systems.\n2. Discuss Doppler/color physics and be able 
 to (sonographers) apply these principles to optimize system controls o
 r (physicians) utilize this information for recognizing technical erro
 rs which may result in misdiagnosis.\n3. Perform routine scan protocol
 s & document Doppler waveforms for arterial & venous evaluations of th
 e lower extremity.\n4. Perform routine scan protocol for upper extremi
 ty venous evaluation.\n5. Identify normal/abnormal spectral Doppler/co
 lor characteristics & waveform characteristics for identifying arteria
 l & venous disease. Explain methods for obtaining quantitative informa
 tion & the diagnostic relevance of each measurement.\n6. Recognize ima
 ge characteristics of acute versus chronic DVT.\n7. State the indicati
 ons and applications of indirect testing methods for lower arterial di
 sease.\n8. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, unde
 r supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has bee
 n achieved.\n9. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or in
