 n\n1. Identify the anatomy/physiology of the upper and lower extremity
  venous and arterial systems.\n2. Discuss Doppler/color physics and be
  able to (sonographers) apply these principles to optimize system cont
 rols or (physicians) utilize this information for recognizing technica
 l errors which may result in misdiagnosis.\n3. Perform routine scan pr
 otocols & document Doppler waveforms for arterial & venous evaluations
  of the lower extremity.\n4. Perform routine scan protocol for upper e
 xtremity venous evaluation.\n5. Identify normal/abnormal spectral Dopp
 ler/color characteristics & waveform characteristics for identifying a
 rterial & venous disease. Explain methods for obtaining quantitative i
 nformation & the diagnostic relevance of each measurement.\n6. Recogni
 ze image characteristics of acute versus chronic DVT.\n7. State the in
 dications and applications of indirect testing methods for lower arter
 ial disease.\n8. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting
 , under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency h
 as been achieved.\n9. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and
