 . Identify the anatomy/physiology of the upper and lower extremity ven
 ous and arterial systems.\n2. Discuss Doppler/color physics and be abl
 e to (sonographers) apply these principles to optimize system controls
  or (physicians) utilize this information for recognizing technical er
 rors which may result in misdiagnosis.\n3. Perform routine scan protoc
 ols & document Doppler waveforms for arterial & venous evaluations of 
 the lower extremity.\n4. Perform routine scan protocol for upper extre
 mity venous evaluation.\n5. Identify normal/abnormal spectral Doppler/
 color characteristics & waveform characteristics for identifying arter
 ial & venous disease. Explain methods for obtaining quantitative infor
 mation & the diagnostic relevance of each measurement.\n6. Recognize i
 mage characteristics of acute versus chronic DVT.\n7. State the indica
 tions and applications of indirect testing methods for lower arterial 
 disease.\n8. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, un
 der supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has b
 een achieved.\n9. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or
