 istics associated with hepatobiliary disease, pancreatic pathology, re
 nal disease, and fluid localization.\n2. Explain the role of ultrasoun
 d for extended applications (including but not limited to) pneumothora
 x, ocular and musculoskeletal procedures in the emergency department.\
 n3. Demonstrate the use of ultrasound guidance for vascular access.\n4
 . Explain imaging techniques and routine scan planes used in cardiac u
 ltrasound.\n5. Recognize normal cardiac structures & identify ultrasou
 nd findings associated with cardiomyopathy, pericardial effusion, card
 iogenic shock, dissection & other hypotensive conditions.\n6. Discuss 
 imaging techniques, normal and abnormal characteristics associated wit
 h lower extremity venous examinations.\n7. Explain normal sonographic 
 findings and commonly seen abnormalities associated with testicular ul
 trasound.\n8. Perform testicular ultrasound exam.\n9. Describe scannin
 g techniques used in foreign body localization.\n10. Increase knowledg
