DESCRIPTION:Ultrasound is playing an increasingly important role in gy
 necology.  Applications of Gynecological ultrasound include general s
 creening of women who are currently or have previously experienced men
 opause, and special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as ova
 rian cyst aspirations and sonohysterograms (evaluation of the internal
  surface of the uterus). Gynecologic ultrasound provides visualization
  of the uterus and ovaries that may add important additional informati
 on not demonstrated using other imaging methods or with physical exam 
 findings.  You will leave this course with a thorough understanding o
 f this modality. Model demonstrations and hands-on scanning will prese
 nt opportunities to have specific questions answered. The addition of 
 Doppler to the study will allow inclusion of several pathological cond
