DESCRIPTION:Ultrasound is playing an increasingly important role in gy
 necology. Applications of Gynecological ultrasound include general scr
 eening of women who are currently or have previously experienced menop
 ause, and special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as ovari
 an cyst aspirations and sonohysterograms (evaluation of the internal s
 urface of the uterus). Gynecologic ultrasound provides visualization o
 f the uterus and ovaries that may add important additional information
  not demonstrated using other imaging methods or with physical exam fi
 ndings. You will leave this course with a thorough understanding of th
 is modality. Model demonstrations and hands-on scanning will present o
 pportunities to have specific questions answered. The addition of Dopp
 ler to the study will allow inclusion of several pathological conditio
