 rasound is an easy and accurate imaging tool available for primary car
 e physicians. A working knowledge of abdomen and OB/GYN ultrasound wil
 l enhance your ability to streamline your patients’ diagnoses and tr
 eatment. This intensive 3-day course will emphasize abdominal, obstetr
 ics/gynecology to include endovaginal scanning, as well as theory and 
 instrumentation. Hands-on scanning and models will reinforce the lectu
 re\n\nObjectives\nAt the completion of this course, the learner will b
 e able to:\n• Successfully complete selected abdominal, OB/GYN, and 
 endovaginal ultrasound examinations following correct patient preparat
 ion and procedure protocols.\n• Identify and display appropriate nor
 mal anatomy and orientation in the ultrasound field of view.\n• Demo
 nstrate a working knowledge of the importance of quality assurance in 
 ultrasound as described in the AIUM guidelines.\n• Understand variat
 ions in scanning protocols for demonstration of pathologies in abdomin
 al and ob-gyn examinations.\n• Be able to develop mapping techniques
  to approach a variety of scanning situations.\n• Be able to identif
 y sources and research reference materials for additional information.
