 This course provides a balanced overview of the basics of more traditi
 onal breast imaging, blended with the newest state-of-the-art breast i
 maging techniques and modalities. Special attention will be given to B
 reast MRI and important topical issues such as radiation risk and the 
 USPSTF Guidelines for Screening Mammography, as well as newly evolving
  technologies such as Tomosynthesis, Phase Contrast Mammography, Whole
  Breast Ultrasound, and Molecular Imaging.\n\nCOURSE OBJECTIVES:\n1. R
 eview the basic principles and applications of screening mammography, 
 especially in the context of the USPSTF Guidelines.\n2. Review the imp
 ortant findings in diagnostic mammography, including analysis of masse
 s and calcifications.\n3. Outline the current applications of breast U
 ltrasound in diagnostic, screening, and interventional settings.\n4. D
 escribe the major aspects of breast MR imaging techniques, biopsy tech
 niques, and current indications.\n5. Understand the doses and potentia
 l radiation risks of current breast imaging modalities.\n6. Delineate 
 current PACS issues with Full Field Digital Mammography.\n7. Appreciat
 e the evolving role of Tomosynthesis, Phase Contrast Mammography, Whol
 e Breast Ultrasound, Molecular Imaging and other new technologies.\n\n
