DESCRIPTION:The clinical use of image guided radiotherapy has increase
 d rapidly in the last few years. Portal imaging is being superseded by
  cone beam CT (CBCT) in a number of sites. However there are still on-
 going debates around imaging frequency, dose measurement and margin ca
 lculation.\nBy bringing together experts in the field, this one day ev
 ent will discuss these topical issues. It will describe how the imagin
 g modalities work, especially the newer CBCT systems, provide informat
 ion on the legislative framework governing imaging and justifying its 
 use, and show how the imaging data can be used to calculate the treatm
 ent margins required for radiotherapy.\nOn leaving this event, partici
 pants will be able to determine the imaging dose and know how to optim
 ise it and will have learnt how to use information from radiotherapy i
