 This educational activity is supported by a generous grant-in-aid from
  B-K Medical Instruments\n\nContinuing Medical Education Mission\n\nTh
 e department derives its mission from the Cleveland Clinic's founding 
 mission \"to provide better care of the sick, investigation of their p
 roblems, and further education of those who serve.\" Cleveland Clinic 
 Florida is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge through continuing
  education. The purpose of the continuing medical education program is
  to provide educational opportunities of a high quality and a wide var
 iety to physicians, nurses, and to other healthcare professionals. Our
  mission is to develop educational programs of an appropriate scope an
 d depth to satisfy the needs for knowledge and skill development, whic
 h participants wish to acquire, develop or reinforce.\n\nTarget Audien
 ce\n\nColorectal surgeons, general surgeons, gastroenterologists, radi
 ologists, and other health professionals interested in performing and 
 interpreting anal and rectal ultrasonography\n\nObjectives\nAt the end
  of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be
  able to:\n\n• Understand the indications and rationale for the endo
 rectal ultrasonography\n• Identify the ultrasonogrpahic apperance of
  rectal cancer and the different stages of depth of penetration, ie. T
 1, T2, T3 and T4, as well as the appearance of a metastatic lymph node
 \n• Identify the ultrasonographic appearance of the anatomy of anal 
 abscess and fistula, to include the internal opening and the fistula t
 ract\n• Identify the ultrasonographic appearance of internal and ext
 ernal anal sphincter defects\n• Identify the ultrasonographic appear
 ance of normal anorectal anatomy\n\nFaculty\n\nAs you can see by the l
