 FAST and RUSH Exams
DESCRIPTION:This is much more than a focus in abdominal trauma sonogra
 phy, and more in depth than the rapid ultrasound protocol for shock an
 d trauma.  This course puts the probe in your hand from the first hou
 r and continues to the end.  This will take months off your kinetic l
 earning curve and years off the development of the systematic mindset.
    It fills every class hour with guided hands-on practice, and after
 wards the Scan lab is open 24 hours for optional self guided experienc
 e.  You can even bring your own equipment to fine tune your own instr
 ument skills.\nTopics covered will include: \n     -Perihepatic fl
 uid and portal venous hypertension \n     -Urolithiasis, hydroneph
 rosis, and microcirculatory renal function\n     -Perisplenic fluid
 \n     -AAA and dissection, including aortic root and arch involvem
 ent\n     -Pericardial effusion, including differentiation of suspe
 cted hemopericardium \n     -Global and regional myocardial dysfun
 ction, including RV/IVC dimension\n     -Aortic and mitral valvular
  regurgitation\n     -Pleural fluid\n     -Hemothorax\n     -
 Extracranial carotid occlusion\nThis course is targeted to healthcare 
 professionals from all specialties.  Prior attendees have included ph
 ysicians at every point in their career, PA’s nurses, and paramedics
 .   No knowledge or experience with ultrasound is necessary.  Our in
