SUMMARY:Eleventh Annual Hot Topics in MR Imaging for the Technologist
DESCRIPTION:11th Annual Hot Topics in MR Imaging for the Technologists
\n\nThe field of MRI is continually changing. Improvements are being m
ade in safety in the MRI environment, including contrast administratio
n safety and the increasing compatibility of medical implants like ICD
. Pulse sequences are changing to allow for short scan times and impro
ved imaging. New imaging sequences are being developed, such as BLADE,
SWI (Susceptibility Weighted Imaging), ASL (Arterial Spin Labeling),
and non-contrast vascular image. It is crucial that technologists and
other radiology staff receive updates and education in the latest MRI
technology, not only to maintain their national license requirement bu
t to be able to provide the best care to patients and properly address
safety issues within MRI. The only way to accomplish these goals is t
o provide an annual CME-type imaging seminar where we can select leade
rs in the field of MRI to discuss the changes, and how these changes i
mpact the delivery of patient care.\n\nOBJECTIVES\n\nAfter attending t
his activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:\n\nDefi
ne and apply optimal methods for Body MR\nDefine and apply optimal met
hods for Neuro MR\nDiscuss newer applications that widen the scope of
clinical MRI\nRestate basic knowledge of underlying principles of MRI\
 n\nCREDIT\n\nAmerican Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA)\nThis
activity has been approved by AHRA, the approving RCEEM: The Associat
ion for Medical Imaging Management for a maximum of 13.0 Category A, A
RRT continuing education credits. You must attend each session in its
entirety to obtain credit. No partial session credit will be awarded.\
n\nPolicy On Speaker And Provider Disclosure\n\nIt is the policy of th
