DESCRIPTION:CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP INFORMATION Advanced Health Education 
 Center offers clinical fellowship rotations as an enhancement to the p
 receding theory course in the selected modality.  AHEC offers clinica
 l fellowships to registered radiographers (RT, R) In the modalities of
  Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Card
 iovascular Radiography. Fellowships are conducted In the Houston, TX a
 rea in hospitals, imaging facilities and urgent care facilities.  The
  length of clinical fellowship training will vary by the modality sele
 cted.  **No CE credit is awarded for clinical hours. In order to rece
 ive a certificate documenting clinical attendance, technologists must 
 return their timesheet and copies of their clinical competency forms t
 o the AHEC office via mail or fax to the attention of the respective f
 ellowship coordinator. Modality Information MRI, CT, CV Clinical Fello
 wship: 40 hours of clinical rotations (Monday-Friday) each week will g
 ive the technologist the opportunity to experience a wide array of exa
 ms, be tutored by experienced advanced modality professionals who prov
 ide insights, advice, and help you get the most out of your training. 
 Also, clinical fellowships will allow technologists the opportunity to
  accrue some of their clinical experience (competencies) for preparati
 on for advanced modality examinations. Clinical rotations are based on
  a per week registration by the technologist. It is strongly recommend
 ed attendance in clinical rotations be for the full weeks offered. Reg
 ister early; there is a limited number of clinical sites available. It
  will enhance clinical experience if technologists communicate their g
 oals related to clinical training to the fellowship coordinator. If yo

 inical:  (1-2 week option) Technologists are placed with an emphasis 
 on providing experience when available on a CT system with the manufac
 turer, software and angiography needs requested. CT fellowship clinica
 ls will provide 40-80 hours of CT training.Clinical Fellowship Require
 ments Clinical Fellowship requires enrolled technologists to meet hosp
 ital and imaging center requirements as required by affiliation agreem
 ents and education departments. The following information must be subm
 itted to obtain a clinical site rotation assignment. Fellowship coordi
 nators will contact enrolled technologists in advance of clinical rota
 tions to secure appropriate documentation.  Reliable email and/or tel

 r the class. Failure to provide correct information will result in del
 ay or failure of clinical placement. Required information must be prov
