 \nNETHERLANDS\n\nMEETING DESCRIPTION:CT-Colonography (CTC) has been pr
 oven to be a viable alternative to double contrast barium enema and co
 lonoscopy in symptomatic patients, accurate and with good acceptance. 
 It is also considered to be a potential screening technique for colore
 ctal cancer. At present CTC is being introduced in many institutions. 
 Performance and especially the evaluation of CTC require specific know
 ledge and skills. In 2003, ESGAR introduced hands-on workshops on CTC.
 \n\nThe workshops are specifically aimed at providing practical skills
  and information; both for those considering starting CTC at their ins
 titution as well as for experienced individuals. These practical skill
 s and information are provided in several formats: ‘How I do it’ p
 resentations, presentations on new developments (bowel tagging, image 
 processing), discussion sessions and hands-on training on workstations
  by international experts. Workstations of several vendors are availab
 le, giving the possibility to obtain experience with different worksta
 tions and software.\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES\n\nTo recall the epidemiolo
 gy of colorectal cancer.\nTo learn the pros and cons of currently avai
 lable diagnostic techniques for colorectal cancer.\nTo describe the te
 chnique of state of the art CT-Colonography.\nTo describe the role and
  technique of faecal tagging in colonography.\nTo define the role of C
 T-Colonography in diagnosing colorectal cancer.\nTo learn the CT-Colon
 ography characteristics of colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer.\nT
 o learn the pitfalls in CT-Colonography.\nTo describe the role of CT-C
 olonography versus MR colonography.\nTo describe the post processing t
 echniques currently exploited in evaluation of CT-Colonography data wi
 th their pros and cons.\nTo outline the future perspectives of CT-Colo
 nography.\nTo obtain hands-on experience in evaluating CT-Colonography
  studies, both without and with faecal tagging.\nTo obtain hands-on ex
 perience with the use of several CT-Colonography evaluation techniques
  (two-dimensional, three-dimensional).\nTo obtain hands-on experience 
 with several types of workstations with dedicated software for evaluat
