SUMMARY:CT Clinical Week 2
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Health Education Center offers clinical fellowshi
 p rotations as an enhancement to the preceding theory course in the se
 lected modality. AHEC offers clinical fellowships to registered radiog
 raphers (RT, R) in the modalities of mammography, computed tomography,
  magnetic resonance imaging and cardiovascular radiography. Fellowship
 s are conducted In the Houston, TX area in hospitals, imaging faciliti
 es and urgent care facilities. The length of clinical fellowship train
 ing will vary by the modality selected.\n**NO CE credit is awarded for
  clinical hours. In order to receive a certificate documenting clinica
 l attendance, technologists must return their timesheet and copies of 
 their clinical competency forms to the AHEC office via mail or fax to 
 the attention of the respective fellowship coordinator.\nModality Info
 rmation MRI, CT, CV Clinical Fellowship 40 hours of clinical rotations
  (Monday-Friday) each week will give the technologist the opportunity 
 to experience a wide array of exams, be tutored by experienced advance
 d modality professionals who provide insights, advice, and help you ge
 t the most out of your training. Also, clinical fellowships will allow
  technologists the opportunity to accrue some of their clinical experi
 ence (competencies) for preparation for advanced modality examinations
 .\nClinical rotations are based on a per week registration by the tech
 nologist. It is strongly recommended attendance in clinical rotations 
 be for the full weeks offered. Register early; there is a limited numb
 er of clinical sites available. It will enhance clinical experience if
  technologists communicate their goals related to clinical training to
  the fellowship coordinator. If you have specific requests regarding e
 quipment preference and/or software, please contact the AHEC clinical 
 fellowship coordinator related to these modalities.  Computed Tomograp
 hy Fellowship Clinical: (1-2 week option) Technologists are placed wit
 h an emphasis on providing experience when available on a CT system wi
 th the manufacturer, software and angiography needs requested. The CT 
 fellowship clinical will provide 40-80 hours of CT training. \n\nFor m
