 nciple objective of this program is to educate critical care physician
 s and other health professionals on how to perform and interpret ultra
 sound exams in the critical care setting. Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institu
 te’s Critical Care Ultrasound course offers a comprehensive hands-on
  approach to evaluate conditions including AAA/dissection, thoracentes
 is, pericardiocentesis, pneumothorax and DVT among others. The program
  faculty will help the clinicians recognize imaging characteristics of
  commonly seen cases in critical care, and help guide treatment based 
 on the ultrasound findings. The strong hands-on component of this cour
 se and its low participant-to-instructor ratio (3:1) offer ample time
