  participant should be able to:\n\n1. Explain the basic fundamentals o
 f ultrasound physics/instrumentation.\n2. Describe routine scan protoc
 ols, Biophysical profile, and measurements for performing transabdomin
 al GYN, endovaginal scanning, and obstetric applications.\n3. Identify
  normal and abnormal imaging characteristics of ovarian and uterine pa
 thology as well as explain the indications and ultrasound findings for
  suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy.\n4. Describe normal fetal anatomy,
  apply appropriate measurement techniques and discuss commonly seen fe
 tal abnormalities.\n5. Increase the participants’ knowledge to bette
 r perform and/or interpret gynecology and obstetrical ultrasound exami
 nations.\n6. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting (un
 der supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has b

 cians who are at an entry level of interpreting/performing OB-GYN exam
 s. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those i
 nvolved with: OB-GYN, endocrinologists involved in performing GYN exam
 inations, family practice, and emergency medicine. Nurse practitioners
  and midwives may also attend.\n\nCME Credit Statements\nThe Gulfcoast
