DESCRIPTION:This three-day “How-To” course will provide you with a
  basic, practical understanding of carotid ultrasound. The physics and
  instrumentation of carotid scanning, to include the spectral analysis
  and correlation is covered for obtaining quantitative information. Th
 e hemodynamics of the cerebrovascular system are explained as they rel
 ate to the Doppler procedure. You will learn to measure Intimal Medial
  Thickness (IMT) of the inner two layers of the carotid artery and it�
 ��s correlation to coronary artery disease. The use of color and the n
