ce skills by providing intense training in interpreting cardiac MR exa
minations under the supervision\nof expert faculty.\n\nParticipants us
e workstations with the same vendor software as in their own practice
and have access to over 50 cardiac MR and vascular MR angiography case
s for review. Post-processing techniques and interpretation will be em
phasized. The course\nalso covers technical considerations for obtaini
ng optimal examinations for interpretation.\n\nAt the conclusion of th
is course, participants will be able to:\n1. Identify normal cardiovas
cular anatomy and normal anatomic variants.\n2. Determine the spectrum
of ischemic and nonischemic cardiomyopathies, including function, res
t and stress perfusion, and viability.\n3. Evaluate of pericardial con
striction, cardiac masses, valvular disease, pulmonary veins, and card
iac shunts.\n4. Identify new techniques such as assessment of area at
risk and myocardial edema with T2W imaging.\n5. Interpret vascular MRA
, including aorta, renal, carotid, visceral, and peripheral vessels.\n
 6. Recognize imaging manifestations of cardiovascular disease, and the
complementary role of MRI to echocardiography, CT, and cardiac cathet
erization in therapeutic decision making.\n7. Apply the technical basi
s of cardiovascular MRI, including hardware requirements, sequence sel
ection and optimization, and technical limitations.\n8. Apply post-pro
