 TING DESCRIPTION:\nThe purpose of this course is to provide an overvie
 w of new CT technology and clinical applications of this technology to
  imaging of the heart. Topics include instrumentation, principles of c
 ontrast enhancement and imaging protocols. Cardiac applications includ
 e congenital and ischemic heart disease, valvular disease, coronary ar
 tery and plaque imaging. New imaging techniques and their applications
 , including viability imaging and EKG-gated multidector CT are covered
  extensively. Introductory cardiology topics will be provided for radi
 ologists along with basic radiology principles (including non-cardiac 
 pathology in the chest) for cardiologists. In addition, this activity 
 will provide sufficient case material to satisfy guidelines for ACC/AH
 A Level I training in Cardiac CT and approximately one-half of the cas
