 ctivity has been designed for radiologists and cardiologists in clinic
 al practice who wish to gain knowledge of new Cardiac CT techniques an
 d case review experience which can be used towards meeting new ACC/AHA
  guidelines for Level II training in this area.\n\nPart I of the cours
 e is composed of didactic lectures. The curriculum will cover all aspe
 cts of Cardiac CTA including patient selection, scan protocol interpre
 tation and post processing. Didactic lectures will address the clinica
 l application and Cardiac CT. This course will also cover reimbursemen
 t, setting up a Cardiac CT practice and utility of Cardiac CT versus o
 ther imaging techniques.\n\nPhysicians registered for Part II will rev
 iew cardiac CT cases at individual workstations under the supervision 
 of one of our course faculty. Physicians will review for 45 minute per
 iods which will be followed by 15 minute instructor-led review of the 
 same cases. At the conclusion of both case session days, physicians wi
 ll have reviewed 75 CT cases toward their certification requirements.\
 n\nUpon completion of the program, participants will be able to:\n\n1.
  Analyze coronary artery anatomy, patho-physiology and disease pattern
 s.\n2. Select the appropriate patients and identify how to prepare the
 m for Cardiac CT.\n3. Use the correct technique to perform Cardiac CT.
 \n4. Compare the clinical utility of Cardiac CT with that of stress te
 sts, cardiac MR and cardiac catheterization.\n5. Describe how a 64-sli
 ce volume CT scanner will affect Cardiac CT\n6. Identify the role of C
 ardiac CT patients pre and post ablation for atrial fibrillation\n7. E
 valuate the use of Cardiac CT in triaging patients with chest pain in 
 the emergency department\n8. Explain current and future issues affecti
 ng reimbursement for Cardiac CT.\n9. Discuss the development and manag
