  importance of ultrasound as an adjunct procedure to mammography is we
 ll documented. The normal anatomy, physiology, and pathologic conditio
 ns evaluated by ultrasound will be the basis of this educational activ
 ity. The increased utilization of breast ultrasound requires clinician
 s to integrate the fundamentals of sonography and mammography to enhan
 ce the value of breast ultrasound. The course combines classroom learn
 ing with practical hands on scanning to maximize the learning experien
 ce. Ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and examination of bre
 ast implants will be discussed. Case studies will be utilized to corre
 late the mammogram with the breast ultrasound, and to recognize breast
