 d in preparing for both ARDMS an ARRT registry exams. It will provide 
 an opportunity to learn ultrasound imaging techniques and to upgrade y
 our skills in this increasingly demanding role. Ultrasound has proven 
 to be a very valuable and cost-effective tool for visualizing cystic a
 nd solid structures in the breast. Ultrasound provides a complementary
  imaging technique to mammography and together they provide improved d
 etection of breast cancer. Special knowledge and skill is needed to fu
 lly utilize the capabilities of breast ultrasound. This seminar will p
 rovide increased knowledge of the technical and clinical aspects of br
 east ultrasound and an overview of the basic principles and concepts o
 f ultrasound. Growth in providing full service women’s health servic
 es includes efficient and thorough ultrasound imaging examinations.\n\
 nThis program provides 8 hours of SDMS continuing education credit for
  sonographers and 8 hours of Category A credit for radiologic technolo
 gists. A certificate of attendance will be provided to each individual
  upon completion of the seminar. Individuals must attend the entire se
 minar to receive full credit. Credit is awarded for sonographers and r
 adiologic technologists as SDMS or ARRT Category A Credit approved by 
 the SDMS, and credit from various licensure states.\n\n\nINSTRUCTORS:\
