  as an aid in preparing for both ARDMS an ARRT registry exams. It will
  provide an opportunity to learn ultrasound imaging techniques and to 
 upgrade your skills in this increasingly demanding role. Ultrasound ha
 s proven to be a very valuable and cost-effective tool for visualizing
  cystic and solid structures in the breast. Ultrasound provides a comp
 lementary imaging technique to mammography and together they provide i
 mproved detection of breast cancer. Special knowledge and skill is nee
 ded to fully utilize the capabilities of breast ultrasound. This semin
 ar will provide increased knowledge of the technical and clinical aspe
 cts of breast ultrasound and an overview of the basic principles and c
 oncepts of ultrasound. Growth in providing full service women’s heal
 th services includes efficient and thorough ultrasound imaging examina
 tions.\n\nThis program provides 8 hours of SDMS continuing education c
 redit for sonographers and 8 hours of Category A credit for radiologic
  technologists. A certificate of attendance will be provided to each i
 ndividual upon completion of the seminar. Individuals must attend the 
 entire seminar to receive full credit. Credit is awarded for sonograph
 ers and radiologic technologists as SDMS or ARRT Category A Credit app
 roved by the SDMS, and credit from various licensure states.\n\n\nINST
