SUMMARY:Breast Ultrasound
DESCRIPTION:The importance of ultrasound as an adjunct procedure to ma
 mmography is well documented. The normal anatomy, physiology, and path
 ologic conditions evaluated by ultrasound will be the basis of this ed
 ucational activity. The increased utilization of breast ultrasound req
 uires clinicians to integrate the fundamentals of sonography and mammo
 graphy to enhance the value of breast ultrasound. The course combines 
 classroom learning with practical hands-on scanning to maximize the le
 arning experience. Ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and exa
 mination of breast implants will be discussed. Case studies will be ut
 ilized to correlate the mammogram with the breast ultrasound, and to r
