DESCRIPTION:Breast Imaging Boot Camp\n\nCourse Overview\n\nThis three-
 day course, led by Gillian M. Newstead, MD, FACR, Robert A. Schmidt, M
 D, Michael N. Linver, MD, FACR, and Christopher E. Comstock, MD is des
 igned to provide practicing radiologists with an intensive hands-on ex
 perience to breast imaging. Throughout the 3-day program, participants
  will develop their interpretive expertise in the evaluation of mammog
 raphy studies by hands-on interpretation of over 240 digital screening
  and diagnostic mammograms at their own individual Fuji PACS digital w
 orkstation. Participants will enhance their perceptive skills with dir
 ect assistance from a panel of expert radiologists. Specific instructi
 on in the use and application of computer-aided techniques will also b
 e provided. In addition, interventional workshops will be available in
  breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy. Preparation material for t

 ng experience requirements of the MQSA which requires radiologists to 
 have interpreted or multi-read, under direct supervision of a qualifie

 sion of this conference, participants will be able to:\n\n1. Optimize 
 perception skills for detection of cancer at digital mammographic scre
 ening\n\n2. Optimize interpretation of digital mammographic screen-det
 ected findings\n\n3. Learn skills to minimize the call-back rate for n
 ormal/benign findings at mammographic screening\n\n4. Understand the a
 pplication of computerized techniques as an aid in mammographic interp
 retation\n\n5. Review of diagnostic work-up of screen-detected finding
 s and symptomatic patients\n\n6. Conduct interventional workshops for 
 stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsy\n\nAttendees who interpret a
  minimum of 240 digital mammography examinations will be awarded a Cer
 tificate stating the actual number of mammographic examinations read u
 nder the direct supervision of an interpreting physician, which will c
 ount towards meeting the physician interpretive requirements for MQSA
