 ading faculty and practicing radiologists from the University of Calif
 ornia, San Francisco and the University of British Columbia, Vancouver
  to address important and practical topics in Ultrasound, Body Imaging
 , Thoracic Imaging and Musculoskeletal Imaging as well as Nuclear Medi
 cine and Interventional Radiology. Highlights include the latest in ra
 diation exposure safety, PET/CT, practical pointers for use in daily C
 T work of the chest, abdomen and pelvis including tumor imaging as wel
 l as practical musculoskeletal imaging, in particular of the ankle and
  hip. There will be plenty of time for interaction between faculty and
  attendees as well as interchange between American and Canadian radiol
 ogists enrolled in the course. The target audiences for this course ar
 e radiologists in clinical practice or an academic environment.\n\nUpo
 n completion of this course, attendees should be able to:\n1. Reduce r
 adiation risk and exposure for their patients;\n2. Improve imaging stu
 dies and interpretation of abdominal and pelvic CT and MRI and ultraso
 und of the liver and uterus;\n3. Apply the latest developments in PET/
 CT in the chest, abdomen and pelvis;\n4. Improve their management of s
 olitary lung nodules;\n5. Be familiar with interventional procedures s
 uch as needle biopsies, abscess drainage, renal ablation and joint inj
 ections for pain control;\n6. Enhance their knowledge in the anatomy a
 nd the pathologic anatomy of ankle and hip disorders;\n4. Understand t
 he principles and clinical utility of imaging of osteochondral disease
