DESCRIPTION:The Blended Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care Course i
 s designed to increase the participant’s knowledge and competence to
  perform and interpret pediatric ultrasound examinations in an Emergen
 cy or Critical Care setting. This course is taught by leading pediatri
 c emergency and critical care ultrasound experts and includes 8 month 
 access to course lectures in an online course format combined with two
  half day scanning workshops. The scan workshops have a 3:1 ratio with
  live pediatric models and inanimate phantoms.\n\nObjectives\n\nIncrea
 se the participant’s knowledge to better perform pediatric emergency
  and critical care ultrasound examinations.\nIdentify normal imaging c
 haracteristics of the pediatric urinary tract\nDemonstrate protocols f
 or evaluation of the trauma patient (FAST).\nDemonstrate ultrasound pr
 otocols for evaluation of pneumothorax, pneumonia and endotracheal tub
 e placement.\nPerform a focused cardiac ultrasound examination on a pe
 diatric patient.\nDemonstrate a focused two-point venous evaluation fo
 r DVT.\nPerform testicular ultrasound and recognize commonly seen abno
 rmalities (optional session).\nIncrease confidence to incorporate prot
 ocols, techniques & interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic/trea
