DESCRIPTION:The Blended Introduction to Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound
  Course is the first step in obtaining a strong foundation to begin pe
 rforming and/or interpreting upper & lower extremity peripheral arteri
 al and venous ultrasound examinations. This blended course provides 8 
 months instant access to course lectures in an online course format an
 d a 2 half day live hands on scanning workshop at our facility. The li
 ve workshop features a 3:1 scan ratio with live models and knowledgeab
 le hands on instructors.\n\nObjectives\n\nIncrease the participants’
  knowledge to better perform and/or interpret upper and lower Peripher
 al Vascular ultrasound examinations.\nApply knowledge of the anatomy/p
 hysiology of the upper & lower extremity venous and arterial systems i
 nto the venous & arterial duplex and physiologic testing examinations.
 \nPerform routine scan protocols, and document Doppler waveforms for l
 ower extremity arterial and venous evaluations of the upper and lower 
 extremity.\nDemonstrate vein mapping techniques to identify suitabilit
 y as a potential arterial bypass graft.\nPerform routine scan protocol
 s and document Doppler waveforms for venous evaluation of the lower ex
 tremities, including pre and post vein ablation evaluation.\nPerform e
 valuation for venous insufficiency and patency of perforators for vein
