DESCRIPTION:Our Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography course 
 is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret
  adult cardiac ultrasound examinations. The program is taught by leadi
 ng echocardiography experts and combines 8 months access to our online
  course of comprehensive lectures and 2 full days of hands on scanning
  workshops at our facility in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The scan worksh
 ops feature a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models for the most hands 
 on scan time.\nObjectives\n\nIncrease the participant’s knowledge to
  better perform and/or interpret Echocardiography examinations.\nDemon
 strate proper transducer manipulation and system optimization to produ
 ce diagnostic images (sonographer) and recognize potential imaging err
 ors (Physician).\nDemonstrate routine scan protocols to evaluate an ad
 ult patient using 2D/M-Mode/Color Flow & Doppler echocardiographic tec
 hniques and demonstrate appropriate measurements.\nIdentify normal/abn
 ormal characteristics of 2D cardiac anatomy and state the role of card
 iac Doppler and list the necessary qualitative/quantitative measuremen
 ts.\nIdentify the ultrasound findings associated with valvular heart d
 isease, cardiomyopathies, ischemic heart disease, pericardial disease 
 and cardiac masses.\nList the latest imaging techniques in quantificat
 ion of right and left ventricle wall motion. Document findings and app
 ly standardized guidelines during compilation of an Echocardiography w
 orksheet (sonographer) and dictated report (Physician).\nList the step
 s necessary for system optimization during contrast echo imaging.\nInc
 rease confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques & interpretation
