SUMMARY:Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography (Online Course 
 + Hands-On Workshop)
DESCRIPTION:Our Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography course 
 is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret
  adult cardiac ultrasound examinations. The program is taught by leadi
 ng echocardiography experts and combines 8 months access to our online
  course of comprehensive lectures and 5 half days of live scanning at 
 our facility in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The scan workshops feature a 
 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models for the most hands on scan time.\
 nObjectives\n\nIncrease the participant’s knowledge to better perfor
 m and/or interpret Echocardiography examinations.\nDemonstrate proper 
 transducer manipulation and system optimization to produce diagnostic 
 images (sonographer) and recognize potential imaging errors (Physician
 ).\nDemonstrate routine scan protocols to evaluate an adult patient us
 ing 2D/M-Mode/Color Flow & Doppler echocardiographic techniques and de
 monstrate appropriate measurements.\nIdentify normal/abnormal characte
 ristics of 2D cardiac anatomy and state the role of cardiac Doppler an
 d list the necessary qualitative/quantitative measurements.\nIdentify 
 the ultrasound findings associated with valvular heart disease, cardio
 myopathies, ischemic heart disease, pericardial disease and cardiac ma
 sses.\nList the latest imaging techniques in quantification of right a
 nd left ventricle wall motion. Document findings and apply standardize
 d guidelines during compilation of an Echocardiography worksheet (sono
 grapher) and dictated report (Physician).\nList the steps necessary fo
 r system optimization during contrast echo imaging.\nIncrease confiden
 ce to incorporate protocols, techniques & interpretation criteria to i
