SUMMARY:Blended Education: Introduction to Pediatric Emergency Online 
 Course and Pediatric Emergency & Critical Care Ultrasound with Two-Day
  - Hands-On Only Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This blended-education pediatric ultrasound course is desi
 gned to increase the participant’s knowledge and competence to perfo
 rm and interpret pediatric ultrasound examinations. This pediatric ul
 trasound blended-education program is taught by leading pediatric ultr
 asound experts and includes online lectures, case presentations, and e
 xtensive hands-on scanning, featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and
  inanimate phantoms for a realistic training experience. The hybrid f
 ormat allows the participant to have access to the online pediatric ul
 trasound course for 6 months to provide the flexibility to complete th
 e lectures at ones’ convenience. Hands-on experience is provided by 
 attending a GCUS hands-on workshop at our education facility located o
 n St. Pete Beach, Florida. A customized onsite scanning workshop may a
 lso be scheduled for groups of 5 or more participants. The pediatric 
 ultrasound training is developed in accordance with the AIUM ultrasoun
 d guidelines. Topics include: ultrasound imaging fundamentals, trauma 
 ultrasound (FAST), evaluation of the urinary tract in infants & childr
 en, pediatric GI applications such as pyloric stenosis, intussusceptio
 n, and evaluation of appendix & bowel obstruction, soft-tissue, MSK ap
 plications, neonatal head sonography, evaluation of the pediatric spin
