DESCRIPTION:This intermediate/advanced peripheral nerve course include
 s basic and advanced techniques for diagnosing focal neuropathies and 
 integrating interventional peripheral nerve techniques. Taught by lead
 ing ultrasound experts, this unique ultrasound training course incorpo
 rates comprehensive lectures, interactive case presentations, and exte
 nsive hands-on scanning, featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and in
 animate phantoms for the evaluation of upper and lower extremity perip
 heral nerves.\nObjectives\n\nIncrease the participants’ knowledge to
  perform and/or interpret peripheral nerve ultrasound examinations.\nS
 tate the basic fundamentals of ultrasound physics and demonstrate appr
 opriate optimization of system controls.\nRecognize anatomy and ultras
 ound characteristics of the nerves and surrounding tissue to assist wi
 th management of focal neuropathies\nAssess and diagnose focal neuropa
 thies using high frequency ultrasound techniques\nIdentify common and 
 challenging nerves using high frequency ultrasound.\nOutline the stand
 ard approach for common and uncommon peripheral nerve blocks and inter
 ventions.\nIncrease confidence to incorporate protocols, scan techniqu
 es, and interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic and treatment ac
